Who we are

Cohere Consultant is founded in 2018 by Eliam Vlijm and Siefko Slob. We are an independent consultancy and provide high-level technical advice.  Helping our clients reaching their objectives is what we enjoy. In our advice we look for coherence between our advice and the overall challenges of our customers. We see great added value working together with other specialists.

What we do

We give high level technical advice in the fields of dynamics and vibration, structural engineering and geological engineering. To do this, we often use advanced data modelling and numerical modelling tools. Our work often comprises of risk and impact assessments and advising our clients on policy and decision making.

The world around us is changing quickly by new technologies. Technologies meant to make our lives easier, to increase safety and to gather all kinds of information. But when it comes to decision making, it is difficult to base your decision on facts without the right knowledge and understanding. Technical specialists with profound understanding of their field are needed. Our mission is to contribute to society by giving solid advice through expert consultancy.

Subsurface

The subsurface is often the most uncertain factor in projects. Insight into the behavior of the subsurface plays an important role, but little is often known about the subsurface. CPT's, drilling or geophysics are investigations used to map the subsurface. We can interpret this and translate the data to information for design.

Vibrations

Vibration is the movement of a structure or medium and is sometimes difficult to predict. Damage or hindrance are unwanted consequences of vibration. Through monitoring we can get understanding of the level of vibration. In case of assessing future situations, we make use of prediction models.

Earthquakes can have a big impact in terms of damage but also in the form of social unrest. Seismic design is thus important for buildings and structures in earthquake areas. With our knowledge of the subsurface and soil-structure interaction, we can determine the impact on your building or structure.
