Alessandro Bracci

Alessandro is an Engineering Mechanical Master’s student at Politecnico di Milano. His field of study is focused on vibration analysis and ground vehicles’ dynamics, including their interaction with the surrounding area and infrastructure. He received the bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Alessandro strongly relies on his goal-orientated attitude, approaching the problem with curiosity and an open-minded view. Hard work and determination help him to face every challenge.

The subject of his Master thesis project is formulating a model to realistically capture the vibrations induced by the passage of trains, analysing their interaction with a wave barrier built next to the Tricht railway line. The goal of the study is to assess the efficiency of this solution in mitigating vibrations in the surrounding buildings. The Master thesis is a combined project of Technical University of Delft and Politecnico di Milano.
